I have absolutely no knowledge of that. If engine performance can be improved by putting another set in the head without compromising engine life or changing anything else, I'd consider doing something. Just wondering what options are available.
Thanks...

The 81 Gpz (KZ 1100-B1) will be slightly hotter, 82 GPz (KZ 1100-B2) a little hotter than the 81 and 83 and up GPz (ZX 1100) will be the hottest.
You may need to swap the cam sprockets and there may be some issues with the tach drive (the GPz's have electronic tach = no worm gear for the tach drive, not sure if your bike has a cable driven tach?), other than that it should be pretty much plug and play.
It's getting late over here now, but I'll post some numbers tomorrow after work.

That is a lot of information on cams. Would all of them work in place of the 12044-1027, without having to alter or change anything else on the engine, other than changing valve shims?
In other words, just bolt-in and go!!!

Any info about aftermarket 1000-J cam applications, relative to the 1100-J engine?
I gotta think there is an alternative...
After all, I mounted their header when V&H told me it "would NOT work". Boy were they wrong!
Albeit did require a squish/twist to the footrest mounting bracket, and a spacer on the slip-fit.

Basically, yes, unless you want to degree the cams (in which case you'll need slotted/adjustable cam sprockets). In any case you will need to insure that the cam sprockets are mounted correctly and obviously that the cams are installed accordingly - the 82, 83 and 84 GPz's use identical cams for intake and exhaust, the orientation of the sprockets determine which is which.

I dont really know alot. Iam running a J model head on a kz bottom end. Iam running kz cams in it with ape sprockets. I didnt run into any problems from switching cams but mine is a 81 with a tach drive. So iam not sure if the later models have the groove cut out in the heads where you could a run a kz cam with tach gears, or if it would rub. I could be wrong but i was once told that you can buy aftermarket sprockets to run the kz cams. But iam not sure on any of that. I have never attempted it or looked into, Just know what i ran into on mine.
