The friction plates and springs are still “Active” Kawasaki parts, so any dealer can get them for you. Ronayers.com lists the genuine Kawasaki friction plates at $7.77 each and springs at $3.38 each. Ed

You may want to check them to see if they're warped, but I would expect them to be ok. Ed

Don't replace anything until you've checked the wear and warpage. Most likely you need to move to JASO MA oil and possibly replace the clutch springs (cheap). These clutches are built very well and last for many many miles (mine is still good after 50k with a new set of springs). If you have a spare head lying around you can even rob the inner valve springs rather than buying new ones. Whatever you do, be sure to adjust the set screw on the left side cover. Remove the small plate with 2 large phillips screws; loosen the locking nut several turns while holding the inner screw from turning; then turn the screw clockwise until it turns easily; then turn counter-clockwise until you feel a slight resistance; the manual says to rotate the screw 1/4 turn clockwise, hold it in that position, and tighten the lock nut. (I prefer 1/2 turn).

This adjustment is setting a small amount of clearance for the pushrod that goes from the cam operated actuator (left side under the cover, and operated by the clutch cable), over to the pressure plate which releases the clutch. With wear, the clearance can become zero or less, and the clutch cannot fully engage. This adjustment is independent of the clutch lever clearance.

Sometimes the screw can get corroded in the cover, making it difficult to tell what is going on. While you have things apart, clean and lubricate the threads on the inner screw and lock nut. Good luck.
