Forgot to send an update on this, but I ended up buying a head from a 82 KZ750 std, bolted it up and it started up! Seemed to run fine.

While I had it apart, I also found 2 cracked pistons though, so seems that the bolt that came loose did more damage than I originally found. Didn't want to keep digging to end up finding more, So I ended up selling the bike as is (running but the disclaimer that it had cracked pistons). Got my money back and now to the next project.

Are the 82 N1 Spectres the same block and head as the 83? Any diferrences in thos two year 750 Spectres? Im also looking for a head. I was told the 82 N1 was all GPZ. Big cams, big valves, and higher compression pistons, in turn, cylinder block is different than a standard kz. Mine is blacked out carbs and cylinder block just like all the straight up gpzs I've seen.

Steell, do you still have the 83-85 gpz/spectre head for sale?
