I already posted in the new member forum. This bike has literally sat in a climate controlled garage for the last 35 years. It runs great however the carburetor boot is cracking and I am looking for a replacement. I found one on ebay from Indoniesia. I had a friend suggest that a piece of radiator hose cut to size and clamped on might also be a solution. Anyone try this? I need to change the oil but find no info on what weight of oil to use in this bike. I have always used a good quality 10w40 motorcycle oil in my other small bikes. Any help would be appreciated.

I have used gates brand "green stripe" radiator hose as an inlet manifold on a bike that had a spigot on the head. Radiator hose used to clamp carb to head. Never heard of using it to patch a leaking intake manifold, sorry. Paul

Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

Another member in Sydney Australia was able to find a NOS Manifold/ carb holder for his. But I can't remember the year of his. I think he got it through z1enterprises.com which is one of everyone on this websites suppliers. I'd give them a email or phone call.

Wow; that bike is amazing! Check the oil filler cap to see if shows what weight oil to use. Ed

I would jump on this if I needed it; these are very scarce! According to Kawasaki.com part number 16065-045 is used on KZ200-A1 (1978); KZ200-A1A (1978); and KZ200-A2 (1979).

This bike will be kept in it's current state alyhough they do make a cool cafe bike. The only thing that I will add is fork gators. I will look for an old Kawi 2 stroke enduro to build a cafe bike.
