1105cc Bore... what else - Budget

Ive been running a 76 900 motor sleeved to 1105 10.25 compression setup in mine since 1978. It has a street ported head and 395 lift 260 duration shim under cams in it also along with 29 smoothbores. A buddy spent $4500 on it at Superbike Mikes in Ft Lauderdale Fl.& left it to me. Runs good but wont run with the new water cooled toys naturally. Nothing radical but fun to ride

I've been running an 1105cc kit since 1979 and just recently bumped up to 1135. Your stock 26mm won't be enough even jetted up. Go 29 smooth bore and larger. I use 36mm flatsides and the cams are .416 lift with .298 duration. R. C. Engineering originally built the 1105 motor and those are the cams they included and they're awesome. Wait until you have all the components and do it right. Doing one part of the combo at a time will only disappoint you. Good luck.

You should bore the cylinders, instal new liners, bore and hone those for the 1105 which also requires crankcase to be opened up more. When I went to 1135cc my liners that were installed for the 1105 kit still had .80 left so the 1135 kit was an easy re-bore and hone.
