Need to know if anyone would have a set of piston rings for a KZ650. I only need a set for one cylinder. Broke a compression ring while reassembling. I have searched and searched, but I am coming up empty. I do not want to order an entire set of rings just to replace one piston set. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

According to my parts manuals and Kawasaki.com the STD size is part number 13008-059 (check this with dealer or Z1E to make sure). The good news is this part number is still listed as active so it should be available. The price should be $50 - $60 per cylinder. Check with Z1E. Ed

Motor Head, Thanks for the heads up, THose must have just went up, because I have been cruising ebay for the last couple of weeks and nothing was on there unless I wanted to buy a whole bottom end.

Did you try the Usual source's for the Kawasaki part #? Should still be a good # from what I can find. My dealer is closed today. But many of the online places can tell you if they can source it and a price.

Yup, I got the part number, but the dealers around me just laugh when you ask for part info on anything older then a 1995. Seems none of them know ANYTHING about a bike older than that. Also, I really hate dealing with arrogant little kids when I go into a dealership. Most times the only thing they will tell you they can get is brake pads. The last one I spoke with in person got offended when I asked them to cross reference the part number and see if it fit anything else. Seems they didn't have time to do a little quick research in their database because they had to call their GF.
