I set my plug gaps to .032"... I test hundreds of carburetors... some very rich for my stock bikes and don't foul plugs. I do believe that there is some benefit in a slightly larger plug gap when running higher powered coils. The Dyna S part of the package doesn't have much to do with the plug gap increase but the coils do I think.

this is what i do also...set everything to .032.....never fails..

..and my 77 kz1000 has a dyna ignition on it too!!

Another question I have related to this subject is what plugs to run. I have a '77 KZ1000 with a 4-1 header, individual K&N filter and has been rejetted with 113 main jets. I am about to install the Dyna S ignition with 3.0 coils and 7mm copper wires. Stock plugs are B8ES NGK's gapped between .028 and .032. I have been told to run colder plugs with this set up. What are your thoughts?

My self i would stay with the b8es.I am running dyna-s w/dyna 3 ohm coils at.040 gap on the plugs.I have been playing around with plug heat ranges and found that the b9es fouled out the 8s are good. What octane gas are you running. The higher the octane the slower the burn the more ignition lead you need and hotter plugs. The smaller the plug gap the smother the idle.
