Anybody know where I can get a Chrome Kerker Maegaphone Exhaust, that will fit the 81 KZ1000M CSR?

Z1Enterprises sells Kerkers now, but only have a black so far...

Peace!

I have no idea what it costs to chrome plate something, but would chrome plating a black header make monetary sense? Since it is new you would not have to worry about grease and crap on it...

Has been for many years difficult to find chrome plating for an exhaust system, because reportedly contaminates the chemicals in the baths involved.

Did see here on the forum (within the last several months??) a thread where someone got his exhaust chromed, and the question was asked about identity of the plating company used. But don't recall which thread or whether the plating source was identified.

Have wondered if maybe the exhaust job could be done just before the regular chemical change, or whether the open ends on the exhaust system could be plugged during the process.

Good Fortune! :)

The reason I mentioned the plating is because if he gets a new black header, then there are no contaminants since it is new...

Or maybe have the used header first boiled out by a radiator shop before seeking the re-chrome job.

Regardless of cajoling efforts, betcha the re-chrome guy will "Just Say No."

Not to try and highjack this one, but does anyone know where I can get just a "factory dbae " style baffle ?
I want it to be as streetable as possible.

Uncertain about dbae ??

Open link, click on Exhaust Parts (left side of screen), then click on Baffles for Exhausts. :)

Scroll down to Mac's baffle for Kerker.

baffle

Haven't tried this baffle, so can't vouch for it.

Good Fortune! :)

I was only referring to what OMR's link called them. I had to look to the bottom of that page to find it. But it's the same one your link shows as a Kerker too.
Thanks for your link too!
I want the l-o-n-g-e-r one, not a short race style. ( Now I sound like my wife ;) )
I like to keep things quiet ( sneak up on'em ).
Besides I have a US Marshal who lives across the street from me who works nights, I really want him to get his sleep. And not be PO'ed at the guy across the street from him  :pinch:
