am i wrong or did i read somewhere the pistons are the same as in either the 650 or 750?

if so, it would be cool to buy two oversized piston kits and hot rod it.
expensive as all hell but cool.
and btw. one of my neighbors has an 82 and it's in stock form. full fairings, radio, luggage racks and all and it just walks away from my 1100 when he lays into it.
i want it buy $3,000 is not in the budget right now.

someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

It is the same borer as the 650 but the pistons are not the same. Because of the long stroke of the 1300 the domes on the pistons are different and so are the valve pockets. It is possible to use 750 pistons in a overbore kit but sleeves must be custom made and the cylinder block must be bored and machined for new O rings I got a quote for new custom cylinder sleeves for $375 each and the machining of the block for $700. I however have had custom pistons made for the stock sleeves bored to the maximum safe size which brings it to just under 1300cc and 11.5:1 compression. I also have had custom cams hard welded and ground.
