If your Valve seats are really bad just talk to the local VW Bug repair shop and find out who they use for rebuild work, they should be able to get the bronze valve seat inserts to fit your valves and have the equipment to install them into your head therefore keeping you from ever needing to replace your head unless you crack it or just throughly screw it up. Just had the ones on my 750 twin done for about 20 dollars a valve seat installed.

And Wolfman, thanks for the info about bronze valve seat inserts. I appreciate it!

Can't wait to get started on fixing it up, even tho I want to ride the finished product right now!:P

the head and the jugs are already apart. i was going to to a 810 kit to put into my 650.

this even comes with a complete gasket kit (minus the valve cover gasket)

i don't need this any more. going to do a 1000 rebuild and build up to put into my 650 frame.

again let me know!!!!
