Hello!

I have an original ELR Kerker exhaust. Was this exact same exhaust available aftermarket? It doesn't fit my 78 KZ1000 that well and I would like to get rid of it.

Just wanted to verify it is what it is.

I would just like to verify 100% that it is off of an ELR bike. I may sell it since it doesn't work well on my 78 and I have a Nico Bakker in great shape to put on it.

There are some differences between what is available aftermarket (particularly now) and original equipment. These differences are most evident with regards the badge. I encourage you to explore www.kz1000r.com to look at some original pipes on the 1982/1983 ELR's

The Kerker logo is straight up and down. Then below the main logo in smaller font is "Racing Only" or something to that effect.

I'll try to get images up.

There aren't any real good images of the tag that I've seen on the KZ1000R site.

Still looking.

Yeap.....that's the one!!

Wow....who would have thought.

The pipe has no dents or dings and appears to be in really nice shape.

Kind of want to sell it now to help fun my project.

PM me an offer I can refuse or I am going to eBay with it this weekend.

Sorry, but thanks again for the id help.

You guys will like my 78 when it's done. You will probably like the Nico Baker exhaust a lot on this bike as well.

It will fit the exhaust manifolds but you might have to fabricate a hanger for the muffler. But if this pipe hits eBay you won't be able to afford it :laugh:
