I am not sure what it could be, the carbs are synced and adjusted properly, the valve clearance and ignition timing are to spec as well as the cam timing. The only thing i havent seen on this bike is the oil filter which hasnt been changed since i got the bike 5 months ago, ive changed the oil though.
If it was circulating unfiltered oil could that cause a tick????
Or am i looking at something more serious?
ALSO, my exaust baffle is shot, what options do i have for a tail pipe set up, i have a 4-1 header.
Thanks guys.

What kind of oil are you running? What weight? I use Kaw 20/50 with great results.

The last oil change i did was Chevron DELO 15-40. Its summer here so i run a little thicker viscosity.
I ran it sounds like the sound is coming from the clutch case?.......not the cams.
Im stumped.

im gonna do an oil change right now and i just got a new filter about 5 minutes ago.
I acutally have all the bottom and top end gaskets for the engine so i might just do that.
If the clutch is going out would it make a noise like that though???

if nothing looks odd,
re tighten the spring retainers.
normally a ticking sound is exhaust so this has me baffled lol.
hopefully on of the hard core will chime in.
