It is still gonna cost me about $600 to get it running right and safely, but I only paid $100 bucks for the bike. Sounds like I am going to need a new head for it, tires, air box ducts, brake lines, battery, and a few other misc. items.
I think I can do it all for under $600.00. I am hoping anyway. I have never worked on a bike before, with the exception of filming and assisting with bike builds over the past few years for my job.
Thankfully, my supervisor and good friend is a Master Bike Builder... He runs a repair/custom build shop and is showing me how to fix it myself and letting me use his tools and assistance. He fixes Harley's all day long, so he rides a KZ1000 with a Sidecar and a V-STROM for his regular daily riders.
