I have a Broken Lower back, is there any tricks to getting a motor back into a frame I should know about?
Please help.
ie: Lifting it into the frame rails without scratching my frame to heck (wrap with foam?) I'll have to get it in there alone most likely and remember I had lower back surgery last september, so Leverage tricks needed as well.

Pick My Frame up with the Hoist sideways, Lower Frame over the side of the Motor SLOOOOWLY and put a couple bolts into it // who cares about the sidecover on it right now, It's already hammered and only on there until I get the other parts and the Bike together again.!! YOU ARE AWSOME!!!

I just installed my 750's engine yesterday and just setup a side table the same height as the frame and just wrapped the frame with spare towels to make sure not to scratch the newly painted frame. I put a hydrolic jack in the middle to stabalize it and to alter the engine around to put the bolts back into it. Goodluck!
With my Back, the issue is I can only lift around 30-45 Pounds, I have to use whatever means I can to avoid "ANY" lifting whatsoever.
Im going to go Bolt the Beyatch in right now. Be right back !
Lets say 20 minutes?
Oh crap, I have to paint the Bolts first. [insert]anger icon here[/insert]

lay an old rug or something under the motor and where the frame is going so you dont scratch anything.
Thats what I was thinking too, I have some old Foam that will work perfect, Im just too cold to go back outside again.:S

Good luck on your project. My son is home this weekend and I am going to borrow his strength to put my engine in tomorrow. Have the bike on a work stand and it is about 18" off the floor. Since I have extra hands, we are going to muscle it in place. I hope to post a few pics over the weekend.
