Cams to trade. was created by otakar
I am looking for a set of intermediate performance cams. that have between .395 and .410 lift. I have some bit more potent cams to trade. I have a set of VHR-642 .417 lift and in perfect shape, and a set of WebCam-109 .425 lift, brand new in box, to trade. I also have a set of Andrews 2X Turbo cams .360 lift. I am looking to trade, for a set of WebCam-110 or APE-K410 or Megacycle 470-15, or Andrews 8X cams.

Yes, these are to be used in the GPZ1100. This bike is ridden every day to work and I want a set that is a bit more streatable. The cams I am looking fore have a bit less duration than the ons I have. I plan on building my Z1-R just a bit more potent, to be used as a street rocket.

What is the duration of the 417 lift cams? They sound like the ones i had from web. i realy coulnt tell any diff between them and the 425",261* dur cams i have.
Web told me the 417"s would be similar to the 410's but get more top without loosing the bottom?
Have u tried changing the lobe centers?

Try a PM to Larry Cavan. I sent him a spare set that may fit your needs, if he still has them.

I have a set what would be deemed ape 410" lift, let me clarfiy when i had them made they were web cam owned and then jay at ape bought the rights and they became ape 410"cams, they are also the stelite build type and if your interested i too would swap for the web 109 425"s

I will try and borrow a camera in the next few days and post a pic of them as they have not been run as yet as they have had a long sleep in one of my drawers snd should be ready for some spirited running

Hay Joe
Those would be perfect. As I mentioned, the 109s I have are brand new, they still have the black coating on all the loabs. As long as the ons you have, have no flat spots, I will be happy to trade my 109s for your K410s.

Hi otto i'll stick them in some old yoshimura cam box packages and take them to the post office to get an idea of postage costs and see if its feasible as i'm in Australia.

there are 2 ways to get cams done, one is to grind the desired specs onto a cast iron billit core and then parkerize the whole cam to help initiall break/in and the other is that you supply the cam/grinder a good set of standard cam cores and then they build the lobes up with stelite material which is far superior in wear and stress fatigue as against the billit type.

there are no flats on them as i reiterate they were made then lay in a set of draws forgotten for years and never fitted to a motor thus far :)
