No problem, I have an interest in it myself, getting ready to reassemble a 650 engine.
There is some related information about the cam chain tensioner here.

Thanks everyone for all your responses.
I also got hold of some Z1000 cam wheels and compared them to my Z650 ones and found no significant differences, and so have decided to use them.
It has been sugested to me that the aftermarket, totally metal cam wheels are likly to be very noisy, and that the rock hard rubber on used genuine onews will soften up at operating temperature, so helping the engine run quieter.
Does onyone have experience with the totally metal type, were they much noisier?

I have no experience with the totally metal type. I checked Z-Power in UK, they have two different idler gears available, the original 12057-002 (95£)and an aftermarket one called "pattern" 12057p-Z (48£) - is the latter the totally metal type you´re referring to? In the pic below the aftermarket type is to the left, the oem type to the right, would be interested to hear about the differences.

Hi OnkelB,
Yes, the Z-Power pattern wheel is the one I was refuring to, APE do something similar too.
The shoulder that the edges of the cam-chain side plates rub on are rubber couted on the Kawasaki part.
If the pattern part has no rubber here, so if the chain still makes contact on this shoulder it could, I guess make it much noisier

Ok, thanks - thought there had to be a reason for the pattern ones to be half the price, guess that was it.
