just a little bit by hand with the rotary cutter.

after we found the 17mm pin was the same then the piston height WOW we have a match!!


a set of worn out 1015 bores honed right up

i swore off porting heads after the last one turned out reasonably well,i figured it was a sign from above to give up!:laugh: anybody who can understand all that techno stuff is way out of my league!onthe other hand i can Plumb,wire,tin and work onfurnaces and a/c's better than any engine builder i know,i just know my limitions after many sideways trips into the wall!:laugh:

Still recovering,some days are better than others.

what did the compression ratio end up as?

76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.
01 CBR600F4i Track bike.

I was thinking the same thing. I think I HAVE a set of Yamaha 1100 pistons around here...I love Frankenstein motors.

You shoulda seen my last low buck Ford stroker motor, before I got out of cars.

I believe it's just the carbs. I bought a set of those from Wired George and he warned me that they do exactly that, stumble at WOT. I live with it because once it's done stumbling, I'M GONE!!!

Try some different carbs if you have them. May be easier than pulling it all apart again.

I would never buy a set of carbs if from someone that told me they would not work properly. After much tinkering I got it tuned out. A stumble is unacceptable to me. If that's the case while you are stumbling someone with well tuned STOCK carbs just ate your lunch!

79 KZ1000 LTD B3, 1075 kit, BS34 carbs, high velocity ported heads, K410 cams, V&H pipe w/custom baffle
