Just happened to think that part of my issue could be from the newly-installed low profile breather cover. I'll start a new thread about my leak.

On KZ/Z1s I blocked the crank vent over the transmission completely, put two fittings in the cam cover on each side of the middle idler pulley and ran the two hoses to a catch can under the side cover where the chain oiler used to reside. This solution works great. If you have ever done a wheelie on a 900/1000 with the stock breather the oil fills the area around the transmission and crankcase pressure can pump it out the stock breather into the stock airbox if connected or just out your vent tube to the catch can. (Remember, you should only do wheelies on a closed course and not for too long as the pump pickup will start sucking air)

One more thing, be sure you have an unobstructed vent or you will build up crankcase pressure, which could cause some leakage around gaskets that would not normally leak.
