My pipes don't have the "normal" bluing on the turndowns. They are fine coming out of the head, then begin to blue and brown half way down the pipe. It is from oil hitting them when they are reeeeally hot.

I've begun the project Mr Anderson. I am happy to say that is was much easier to do than expected. I have the head off and the blasted gasket off too. I just made a post with pics showing my progress. Check it out and don't be afraid! You will be happy when it is finished
