wind it up till the valves just start to float then back off just a little and shift!:laugh:

all these rpm ranges, you need to consider the final gear the bike has, that will change the shift points

I find 5000 a nice spot. No clutch shifts nice and smoothB)

These bikes love to RPM. I've owned ons since 1977 and have shifted at about 9 grand. But since it,s been hopped up I'll do 11 grand when I'm on it. Now I have some pretty big cams and race valve springs among other go fast parts. But come on guys don't be afraid to gooose these 650's they love it. You won't belive how fast your 650 realy is.

No seriously, there is no question where the motor is happy with a good exhaust. Mine for example has two sweet spots. Off and wide open.
