here is the difference.
stock on bottom, ported on top.
like plummen said, a ported head alone could hurt more then it helps.
these motors respond better to cams

Where's the best place to have Kawasaki cylinder heads ported? Who's a Kawasaki motorcycle head guru?

Do whatever you like with the head but there are questions that need to be asked by whoever is porting it. If they're not asking questions, think twice.

Two ports cut to the same size don't always flow the same amount of air.

Velocity is important. You can also have too much velocity and the bike will not perform.

Then you have the big valve vs stock valve scenario and believe me. Most guys do not need the 37.5 intake valves that are so popular to install by some shops.

If you want flow data on the KZ head, here's some www.flowbenchtech.com/porting/CRH/kz-data.htm

what else is done to motor?lots of other stops before porting a head

I had the carbs rejetted and a V&H exhaust put on the bike. What else should I do before porting the head?

performance camshafts.head porting alone generally does not net any noticeable gains.it needs to be used in conjunction with carbs, cams, exhaust.
