you could use a 24v starting circuit with the stock starter. on the zx12r when you start getting into big bore stroker motors they get very hard to turn over. i know a guy with a 1427 with over 16:1 compression ratio and his starts very easy with the stock starter using a 24v setup. when his bike was "only" a 1361 using the stock starter and 12v it was hard to start when hot....
