ok, looks like my service manual is a POS... I just got a genuine Kawa service manual on ebay but it hasnt shown up yet of course. So... I guess I will leave it alone since it works now, and try to find a replacement rotor... they seem to be scarce on ebay, lot's of newer model rotors and stators but the older ones are hard to come by. Makes me wonder why it wore out though. If it wasnt properly tightened from whoever had it before? Hope it is not a recurring problem!
