And just so You know...those rollers,when NEW...are soft...not hard like Mine were when I tore the engine apart for rebuild.They were rock hard,unlike the new ones that were actual rubber,and didn't feel like bakelite!

1977 KZ 650 B1, I own two of them. Working on one custom rebuild, one daily rider. Used to have a third. Two 1978 KZ 650 C2 models, sold both. KZ owner since 1987.

Well, that confirms my situation. Bake-a-lite is definately the consistency. That doesn't help my situation, though. They couldn't have been too soft brand new, too much pressure in the cam line. Maybe harder than new cam cover end plugs, but offering a lot more resiliency than my bake-a-lite pizza cutter. Well, still hunting or deciding wether to put the old one back into service.

You're right.They aren't "soft" when new,but they're not hard like Yours are.
