Chances are about 30% that just putting another cap on will work right off the get go. Otherwise all it would take is a couple of strokes with a line hone to make it work. I have a head that needs that, and when I find someone with the hone mandrel, I will fix it.
If the cam turns freely when the bolts are tightened, that's all you need. Remember that the cams are only turning half of engine speed..
