KZRider locator? was created by n9viw
I'm new, not only to my area (sou-central MO) but to KZs in general, and would love to find local riders to hang out with and explore the twisty roads this area has to offer.

I'm surprised there isn't a rider locator on this site! Has anyone investigated such, or has this already been done and just never got stickied? Something similar is going on with a rider/builder's FB group I belong to, and already some guys have been getting together IRL and going for rides. Why not here?

That would be an awesome feature. Hopefully the site administrator can answer whether or not it is possible.

Here is a link to the MAP that identifies the riders who have taken the time to post their "general" location. Paul

Welcome N9viw, I know of one member not too far away. He is Beaner242 and lives in Bonne Terre, MO. I think he and you have some things in common.

Slayer: Thanks for the link to the map, I appreciate it!

Forrest: I'll look Beaner up. Bonne Terre is almost 4 hours NE of me, near StL, but smack dab in the middle is a big chunk of the Mark Twain National Forest, which has lots of good roads and gorgeous scenery! Might be a gathering in the making...

Mark Twain National Forest. I went through there 2 years ago. A riding buddy and I had a great time on those roads, just be sure you have gassed up before venturing in to far.

Regarding 4 hours away, I will ride 4 hours to meet another rider for coffee almost anytime. So time and distance is a bit skewed for me. I know this there are some good roads in the Ozarks and over by Bonne Terre.

I'm FROM central Missouri, I now live in the Kansas City area. Lots of great roads to ride in and around the Ozarks. Lake area, Springfield, and all points in between. If you're ever in the KC area, look me up... great to ride with a fellow KZ dude...

I look forward to different KZ Rallies around the country from year to year. I hope the first one is enough of a success that members want to do more.

Cool! In the interest of finding a rider group in my area, I joined up with a CMA chapter that just started up in Hartville, about 20 min. north of me. Now, to get the KZ road-ready, which involves a new rear tire, new seat, and some legal papers...

To anyone interested, I'm taking an overnite ride from kc to dodge city may 6. Will be gone at LEAST overnite, likely 2 or3 days. Would LOVE some company. I'm riding a 1980 kz 1000 ltd, and bringing a toolkit. Just fun ride, food, and wind.
