+1 on this! ^^^
Glad you're both OK...and also glad you can get your bike fixed. We all appreciate you posting this -- it's a reminder to us all to RIDE SAFE!

ride defensively , gotta anticipate the cage drivers  ....... glad you and your bike are ok :pinch:

1974 was the last time for a bike accident for me....... cage driver in a camaro had his left turn signal on and made a right turn in front of me.
I caught him in the right passenger door on my Z1...could have been way worse..... Now I watch out for everyone

Glad to hear all parties were ok. Maybe I'm paranoid and still pretty green, but I agree with All The Gear All The Time. Last year, shortly after I got my MC endorsement I turned onto a one way near my house and immediately had to dodge a pickup going the WRONG way. I didn't even look that way out of habit. Man, that'll make your leg twitch for a good 10min.

People just don't think anymore when they drive. They have too much else on their minds.

I tend to get more serious when I ride my Kawasaki with stock exhaust. I wouldn't have it any other way! But, the damn thing is really too quiet for the road.

I find myself much more relaxed, still vigilant, but not on edge when I'm riding my Sportster. It's equipped with a Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle exhaust system. I have far fewer close calls with that bike. It's not overly loud, you just hear it. People tend to wait and not pull out in front of you as often. You can stay in the passing lane and cars in front move out of the way. People just need to pay better attention!

Good to hear no one was hurt in this little incident. :)

Glad you are OK! I always told my son that half the other drivers out there can't see you - and the other half are trying to kill you!

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.
