I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I think they underdid the nostalgia too. When I ride my Z1 I get plenty of nostalgia from the feel of the grips, the brake MC, the mirrors, etc. These are all things the new Z could have duplicated quite cheaply to give it that "Z" look.

I finally got to ride a Z900RS today. There was a local Kawasaki demo ride day at a local dealer so I figured why not.
It was the regular RS, not the cafe, with the '74 Z1 green/yellow color which looked nice. I rode my ZRX down there and went for a chaperoned spin on the Z900RS. I really liked it. The bike felt lighter an more compact than the ZRX, the engine was very smooth, the seat was good and the position very natural. I actually felt a little cramped when I got back on the ZRX.
My only complaint was that for some odd reason the turn signal button was hard to reach with my thumb. It looked like it was in the right place, but I couldn't get my thumb on it. I guess a second complaint would be the LCD between the gauges was a big hard to see in direct sun, but maybe there is a way to adjust that.
If I didn't have the ZRX, and if the dealer actually had one to sell, and if I didn't dislike the 2022 model year color for the cafe, I'd probably buy one.

Anyone notice they have released an "SE" model of the Z900 RS? Ohlins shock and Brembo brakes, with a '73 Z1 stripe in yellow and gold wheels.

It seems like a nice upgrade. However, I really prefer the Cafe version. I'm guessing the Z900RS is a pretty low volume model, so it seems unlikely they'll also make a SE Cafe. Four variations of one model seems like too many.
This is why I have never bought a new bike. For that much money I want it to be exactly what I'm looking for, and that never really happens.

First I've seen of this model. I really like it a lot... If I was in the market I would buy it , and love it. Make the stripe Orange and I might not be able to resistAnyone notice they have released an "SE" model of the Z900 RS? Ohlins shock and Brembo brakes, with a '73 Z1 stripe in yellow and gold wheels.
