Thanks, Dave. Great pics and I have to agree with you!

Tons of respect for the fuel burning dragbikes (and the riders with stones big enough to pilot them). I like the ballistic blanket covering the blower - wouldn't want to be on board when that lets loose! Usually when a nitro burning motor fails it doesn't just "blow", it "grenades". 8^(

Never saw Bo O'Brochta in action, but was lucky enough to witness Elmer Trett (may he RIP) and Larry McBride make many passes down the track. Very few T/F bikes being fielded today, unfortunately....

Is Bo's T/F Kaw on permanent display or was that one pic taken at a show somewhere? Just curious.

Mike

Hi Mike
I took the pictures at the Don Garlits Museum in Florida last year.
Im, not sure if it is a permanent display but you can call and ask.
I kinda think it is a full time display.
I felt like I was in the presence of the Holy Grail
I knew Bo from my time crewing on our teams Funnybike back in the day.
Real nice guy
Dave

I remember Bo O'Brochta driving around the Daytona infield during the bike races in March of 1979 or 1980. Bo and his crew had the Terminal Van Lines Top Fueler with them. Not too many people knew who he was, or what that funny looking bike was!!!!!

We stopped and talked to them for awhile. What I thought was funny as he watched the bikes race around the infield course. He made the comment that these guys are fricking crazy for taking those turns like that. I thought that comment was real hilarious coming from a guy that did the quarter mile at just over 7 SECONDS and almost 200MPH!!!!

The Motocrossers seen to have the best looking women with them by far!!! At Daytona all the factory Road Racers, and all the Japanese engineers and mechanics would come out of the garage area and watch all the scantily clad pit tootsies walk out to the starting grid for the SuperCross race on Saturday!!!
