I'm still working on My slab prep. I've got all the sod up and I use a power rake to take down the surface 1 inch at a time, It looks like Ive been in the back with a roto mill for asphalt. I'm almost done I think 1 more time should do. With this clay, when it gets wet you cant hardly get around on your hands and knees on a 1% grade!!
Ive thought about foldable fill also Its cheaper than concrete. 40 years operating equipment,, I too am too old for this shit.
with a bike lift there is nothing better than a rolling adjustable shop stool. Except for cords, airlines, or pea gravel the bloodhound tracked in from outside, then there is not enough room because the potlicker has her ears spread out cooling off watching what your doing.
Are you going to recess your lift? I thought of 5" platform shoes for loading and unloading. Ive made my metal top bench so I can roll it underneath but is still a PITA, so it has its own side of the shop and 3/4 slides under the metal shelving for an ankle bonker
Im to torn up to mess with hand work anymore.
I resorted to heavy equipment and favors from when I use to be a builder
