A lot of modifications must be made to your KZ to fit it right in place and movable..
What about the wind screen? I thing you have to build him by your self?

I was told I wouldnt have to make too many mods, just contact points so it doesnt move, making sure its movable etc.

Those type of fairings are to be mounted to the frame.
It has to be mounted far enough away to clear the fork yokes and gauges.
A race fairing mount is easy. A street fairing with head light is more involved.

I would not buy that one. It's an interesting looking piece, but to me it doesn't improve the look of the bike at all. Ed

I have both a Rickman 1/2 fairing and a full fairing for my Z1.

If you look around, you can find brackets that fit (at least for the Z1) the stock frame:

Here's how the rickman 1/2 fairing looks:

and the full fairing:

The proportions on the Z1 may be different to those of the KZ650 however.

One other thing to keep in mind is that for rickman fairings, there's two types of windscreens. There's a more touring oriented windscreen and a sport oriented windscreen. The touring one is taller and not as long vs the sport one that's low and long. You can tell which one the fairing is made for by looking at the length of the windscreen supports (the part that is above the clipons/bars).
