It's 1/2 way across the country and I haven't seen it in person yet and it's all a mystery at this point. Dead battery, stale gas, no start so for all I know it could be a big POS, but for the price I thought it worth the risk. Worse case scenario I'm it all the money to get it right, or it just needs the usual "Old, been sitting a while bike" carb rebuild, tires, battery, brakes scenario. Hey, if you're going to roll the dice, roll large or go home. Right? It's going to a shop on Tuesday for evaluation.
If all turns out well I gonna do all the above plus new chain, wheel bearing repack and misc, ride it for a few weeks to see what shakes out and then ride it the 1800 miles back home.
Could be an original 76 LTD! No holes in rotors. Are those the Mitchell mags? 1 of a kind, 1 year, back rim Go by VIN# ? Your bike! Your decision!
It is past original. So at least know what you have.

So, grinder in hand, I knocked what remained of the pins down and JB Weld(ed) Chicago screws from Tandy Leather to them and let it dry. I'm not worried about them flying off now!
