You were right it is a KZ 1000Mk2 1980 !
Thank you for all the info that you gave me helps alot. I see what you mean regarding the Z1R side covers, it does look alot like Z1R covers. Thanks again.

If it was mine, and I was you, and I got your MKII in the shape it is in, I would lean towards making it a stock looking custom, and concentrate your restoration efforts on your ELR. The MKII is worth much less as a restored original than the ELR. And, the MKII has the same sort of tough guy looks, and can be drastically improved in terms of power and handling performance by modifications that won't drastically alter the basic classic lines and look of the bike. This is one of my favorite MKII customs:

Thanks for the post, Kawasaki South Africa got back to me this morning. The numbers are 100% correct, it is South African vin and engine numbers. It is a KZ1000 MK2 1980 model. It does seem like the bike is a bit of a bastard with all different parts on it, bit at least the numbers correspond. Now the question is should I bring it back to Original or keep it as is? Im leaning a bit towards original.

I will upload some pics later today. She goes like a bat out of hell. Got small problem with pushrod, will have to order an original 1 out the States. But other than that she is a sweet ride brother. Thank you for asking man.
