Where in Australia (not Austria) is Texas? I'll ride over on Franki (once its registered) :silly:

Bloody hell (sorry if this offends) look at Map 5 . Our NSW is as big and Western Australia is bigger still, the only problem is we have mostly long boring roads and any other roads with bends have cops and stupid speed limits.

A Texan visits Australia and alienates everyone with his brags about Texas. Houston is more impressive than Sydney, ranches in Texas are bigger, the spaces in Texas are emptier than the Outback, etc. Finally he sees some kangaroos and stands there dumbfounded. "What's the matter, says an Aussie. Don't you have grasshoppers in Texas?"

Trying to get away.... Generators ok in trailer parking area? camp fires ok in trailer parking area?

I'd go but mid to late October in Colorado can mean a 16" snowstorm in any 48 hr to 72 hr stretch.
The ride back north could be a nightmare!
I'd like to know why there is no mid summer KZ meet near Denver!? I mean if you flat landers, mideasterners, or east coasters want to ride some serious 35mph to 55mph two lane mountain twisties, there are a thousand miles of them here from 6000 feet to 14,000 feet in the Rockies!

Generators are ok the camp fires depemds on if there is a burn ban and must be in a fire pit no ground fires.
I will be bringing my fire pit and bbq grill.

Weather forecast is perfect, they make it real clear on the website that it doesn't start til Friday...

I'll be there by 11am Friday, look for the Green H1 in the camp area. There is a good band Friday night and I am planning a group ride up to Enchanted Rock on Sat morning (great roads!). See ya there....

Planning on leaving Austin around 6:00 am Fridaywith a stop to eat.
Had planed to go out Thursday afternoon and spend the night at the Armadillo camp ground but when I call to reserve a
spot the lady said they don't take cards I'd have to mail a check or money order.
On top of that she said we can not sleep in the van we have to pitch a tent f$%^ I ain't
owned a tent in 15 years I van camp.
