I have kicked around plating my wheels . I also thought about plating them and then blacking out the wheels like the factory did , and still having the exposed area chrome vs aluminum. Time and money will tell

Funny you mentioned that Dave. I've been thinking that maybe I should have gone with black powder coat and polished edges...I really like how that looks. The chrome just doesn't last real long, especially on the wheels. There are a couple of spots where I can see it's going to bubble sometime soon. I never thought of chroming and then blacking out...that would look really cool!

I saw it done once and it really popped !!!!
I have pretty much talked myself into doing it.
Hardest part will be grinding and polishing mag spoke edges to remove milling ridges
That is one FINE BOTM Mike

Yep, they closed up quite a few years ago. I loved that place! Thomas gave me a new website and said it would be up and running eventually, but last time I checked it still wasn't working. If I can find it I'll post it.

Nope, from Ohio - I'm just a former customer. I probably have hundreds of emails and they never mentioned closing. I still don't know what happened.

This was another rear wheel I had done a while before the MKII. They used to leave the weld inside too but started machining it down at some point. The wheel on the left is a stock 2.15" and the one on the right was widened to 3.5"
