The 1000LTD was never of any interest to me, but there are thousands of them out there and they are the easiest to find and buy if you like the style. 77-80 LTDs had the ducktail rear bodywork, then in 1981 I believe the newer style bike went without it.
The good thing about the LTD is they were made 4 yrs and they built lots and not a collector item really anywhere in the world, so plenty of cheap used parts out there, the ST was only made two years, not a collector item anywhere in the world, so parts less common, the MKII was made two years and considered very valuable throughout the entire world, so parts less common and everything more expensive.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

THANKS very good info now i mite have to consider what im going to buy i love the ducktails and the box style rears, i reall want a 1000 but 550 up and will be cool also

the suzuki gs 1000 kind of look like the mkS?
