Bike Bandit is aptly named, just compare prices to Ron Ayers.

When i bring up kawasaki oem parts diagram to select year it shows they dont have anything for 1983 and below.

Select year, then displacement, it will then list all models of that year and displacement. 1980 and earlier are 1020cc, 81 and later are 1000cc. Early 750 fours are listed as 740cc, around 82-83 they are listed as 750s. It does have it's quirks.

Well I have just been looking at BikeBandit.com and it is quite imnformative.

I did a price check on the parts that I ordered through my local kawasaki dealer and bikebandit was about 10% cheaper, taking into acocunt shippng to NZ.

So do you always just go for the cheapest or do you try and support your local dealer??
Without turnover your local dealer is going to disappear and then the only option will be the online store.
But the local dealer has to represent some reason for you to buy there. Maybe it is personal service, advice, and so on.

Bike Bandit got me again! I found this thread while searching for a good source for OEM parts. I've used Bike Bandit for a very long time but they are so slow! I ordered (2) swingarm end caps a week ago last Saturday (10/5/13) and I still don't have them. The web site said "ships in 1-2 business days" for those specific parts. This happens to me every time I order OEM from them. They are always "cross-shipped". There has to be a better place out there to order from. When I order from Dennis Kirk or Z1 enterprises they are super fast....if I order on a Monday, the parts are at my house on Wednesday.

Just checked partzilla for my swingarm caps...they show them at around the same price. Swingarm bearings are a bit high at $704 each! What's up with that? Spacers are over $700 each too.......

(GS1100 swingarm, btw)

That is strange. They show the swing arm including those parts (which is fine) but they don’t show the parts by themselves. However – they do sell the individual parts, but you have to find the part number elsewhere. I found the 1982 GS1100E swing arm diagram with part numbers here (see 1st link) and plugged them into the Partzilla search engine (see links 2 & 3). Check to see if I picked out the parts you need. Prices look about the same as bike bandit but do they ship quickly? Maybe I should expect to wait two weeks for OEM parts? Maybe because they're so old?
