It looks like there is an interest in putting together an accurate route map that shows where the flag has traveled so far.

I'm not sure how to go about it so any suggestions and or help would be appreciated.

For starters , we would need to know the routes taken by the riders that actually carried the flag,
and only while they had the flag in their possession.

so if you can please post your route here I'll get started.

Then I need to figure out how to add all the routes into a proper map like ED did to my bogus one,
with out a bunch of tags.

Thanks,
Jack

Would it not be easier for us to create maps on Yahoo or Google maps then email them to you? Just a thought.

Here's the route I traveled with the flag in my possession. I picked it up from Topper in Virginia and took it to WV, PA, MD, DE, and handed it off in NJ.

I rode straight through it on I-95. I am originally from Baltimore, so I didn't even think of taking pics. Ed

How do you email a map from Google? Take a screen shot?

This map is from when I picked up the flag in Dallas last Saturday from Bill and Jim, and then when I pass it to Leon this Saturday.

goo.gl/maps/P6SZi

Every time I try to add the map to a post using the MAP link it will put a map in the post but it's a map of San Jose CA, not what I want.

I'm not sure how they did it but your way works too, as long as I can copy and paste.
Thanks Kent,

It kinda got side tracked for a little while  .

A few riders have submitted their routes and I have been putting them in a file for now.

I want to find a nice big map that I can start putting stick pins on.

Once I get set up I'll start going through the leg posts and bugging folks for more info.

Probably in a week or two, sorry for the delay.
