My son Patrick and I drove down to Birmingham for the Barber Vintage Festival Today. Lots of great bikes. Just wish we could have spent more time there but we had to get him back home so he could get ready for the homecoming dance. Follow this link to pictures.

Awesome! I remember the days when the parking at a normal AMA race looked like that! I was dissapointed at the vintage days at road america this year, nobody had anything close to that out there.

One of the stars of the event in my opinion and the only one I saw actually. The GPz1100 right next to it was particularly sweet too.

Glad everyone enjoyed the pictures.

Great pics! Thanks! Lots of metal there I want!

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Man this weekend was so much fun, didn't get as much fottage as i'd like but i will post a short ride. unfortunately, my go pro was dead on the best day, saturday, you would have thought you were at bike week. It was insane. Leterally you had to drive around just to find a spot to park your BIKE!

Either way i was the only one there with a 750 twin(eventhough it was no where near road worthy) B)

I was quite dissapointed at the amount of kawasaki's i saw. Honda ruled the moajority of jap bikes.

saw 3 or 4 z1's and 1 750 4, but that's about it for bigger kaws. watched an old ks500 or ks250 dominate the open class motocross agains tons of bsa's and pentons etc. IT WAS GLORIOUS.

Will post youtube videos asap as i find them. Thanks guys!

boatdrinks...did you shoot those photos in the VJMC paddock? I seem to recall many of the same motorcycles when I was there last year...there was a general lack of Kawasaki then, also. I suspect those VJMC bikes are mostly locals (to Birmingham, that is)...I'm attempting to talk my wife into us retiring to near the Barber Museum...that way I can go every day.
