wrecked my bike.....

So i was taking a ride on some back roads to my trusted motorcycle shop, when i came around a gradual curve under some trees and guess what. The road was still wet. Well i knew i was going to fast.to hit fresh water(rubber and oil lifted off the pavement) so i hit both brakes, back tire locked and started to slide out from under me. So i let of straighted her out and got back on the breaks. By that time i hit wet grass. Both tires full lock, missed a telephone poll by 1 foot. And hit a stump before i went into the woods. Cracked my shin off the bas wen i went over them. I hit the stump at about 20mph (thank god). As for damage, i need new forks, bars, my tank is dented. Thank god for helmets and racing jackets. Hit my head when i hit the ground. Also learned before feom practice to keep it up right as long as you can, cuz a bike can stop you quicker than your ass can. So anyone have forks for a 82 kz750 ltd? Lol.

Ouch, good to hear that you are ok. The bike can be fixed, and you'll be back riding again soon enough. Be careful out there guys.

It just sucks cuz now im getting the i should have done this, i should have done that feelings. Like what would have happened if i would have tried sticking it in the turn. I would have went wide but who knows if a car would have been coming the other way.... Id im bummed.

still with the breathing folks i see.......good for you....wont take much to fix it....do it quick these things can get stalled

these are the exact things we go over,and over ,and over,after a tip over....plan the next one ect...it is the right thing to be thinking this way......your okay and able to learn...

Just out of curiosity, what does the MSF say you should do in such a situation?
