Accelerate article on Relay

Hello KZRiders.

My name is Lance Oliver and I am a contributing editor to Accelerate , the online magazine of the Riders of Kawasaki organization and I have been asked to write an article about your relay ride. I have been going through the photos that have been posted so far, and I'll probably be contacting some of you directly to get permission to use your photos.

Here's how I need your help next. Those of you who have participated in the relay so far, tell me about your rides. Anything that happened along the way, new friends you made, why you decided to do it, just about anything that's on your mind. You can contact me through a PM on this forum or e-mail me directly at lance (at) theridesofar (dot) com.

The idea is to get the article posted this summer and maybe add some momentum to the relay, perhaps bring in some additional riders.

P.S. -- If you haven't checked out Accelerate before, take a look. I'm biased but I think there's some good writing there. It's not like I get paid any more if you click on the link, but it is a free service provided by Kawasaki, so why not take advantage of it?

Welcome Lance, I think its great that you're doing this. And I'm happy to be introduced to Accelerate magazine. Its neat Kawasaki is putting out a publication for the Kawasaki enthusiasts. My part was very minor, but enjoyed doing it. One thing you will find out, is that the relay has helped get a lot of these old Kaw's (project bikes and restorations) out on the road much quicker. In my case, it accelerated my restoration by at least half the time it would have taken. I even pulled an all night repair session one night. Anyhow, I'm sure we all will be happy to contribute for your article. Do you have an end date on when you need people's submissions?

Welcome Lance. a bit of nice writing on dropping the ducati. Ed has some great photographic skills we have a "quote" professional photgrapher riding 2 legs with us in leg 2 if she is able to capture anything note worthy we can email you high resolution shots. Look forward to reading your article(s)

I would think you should have an on going article especially if this ride goes Global let me know if there is anything I can do to help

Seems like it's a bimonthly so it hasn't been updated since May. It also seems heavily weighted toward V-twins :sick: but I guess that is the target demographic nowadays. Anyway, perhaps these new "me too" riders will learn something about the bikes that made Kawasaki famous.

I think the proper terminology is that it is published "semi-occasionally." :lol: Hey, I'm not the editor, just one of the regular contributors. But the next issue should be out in the next few weeks. Some issues are more cruiser-centric than others, but there's a pretty wide variety of stuff over time.
