Hyosung? Any comments? was created by apbling
Hi guys...
The wife wants to get her license and a bike. She wants a litle rocket. I've looked at the Kaw and Honda. Then a friend of her's family has a shop that sells Hyosung. Now, I know they aren't one of the big boys, but looking at the reviews and the specs of the bike, it doesn't look like a bad deal...

Does anyone have any experience with these? The only drawback is they aren't really THAT much cheaper than a CBR250 or Ninja 250...but the dual disc brakes, adjustable pegs and EFI really catch my attention...

I know a waitress at the local Golden Corral Restaurant that has one just like that and she has had some electrical problems. I was going to go give her a hand then she moved out of state so I do not know how it turned out or if she even got it fixed. Nice looking bike but other than that I do not have any experience with them. Keep checking customer reviews to see what owners really think about them

Hyosung has been around for a number of years and I have been watching the major motorcycle magazines for a review and I have not yet seen one. Not sure what the delay is. I suspect that the quality of the motorcycle is good...other Korean exports are quality products.

we had some local guys that were roadracing them.
they we're using the 600/650? i bored out a few sets of cylinders and rebuilt the heads for them.they seemed like as good of quality as the japanese.they were using je pistons for sv650 suzukis and stacking the base gaskets to get the deck height right.

hehe, yeah, I don't think she would be racing, she weighs 115 lbs and would just be a commuter. I might take it out for a good beatin' once in a while though.

I'd be more interested in the ninja, but the nearest Kaw dealer is quite a ways away...

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationFor that kind of $$ (or a bit less) you can buy her a nice, low mileage 2006 Harley, and as we've been told by others, they hold their value forever..... ;)

Well just make sure that the dealer you are buying from will actually service the bike. The guys around here who sell them and other Korean and Chinese bikes and scooters will not service them so my buddy Ron does his best to help the suckers who bought them out.
