Not sure about a route map link Tri, but here is the Google Relay Map Link .

The green motorcycle icons are the all the hand offs that took place so far. If you click on any of them you will find some info about the hand off and pictures as well. I think some one had a route of the third leg mapped out. I think that was TomW but not sure.

Here is where the flag has traveled so far this year. as of 4-14-13

Here is a quote from our Leg 3 team Captain and next in line for the flag, " TomW "

Quote:
From Rainman in Quincy, IL to BlueJ58 in Marseilles, IL. BlueJ takes it into Chicago to Saxjones and another rider there, sorry I don't remember the name. I'll go into Chicago and pick it up and carry it into Wisconsin. There are several riders here. WendyS and DoubleDub in Madison, Daddy Jama in Oshkosh, I think Moneypit is up north (with a bent frame if memory serves) then into Minneapolis. A Minnesota rider goes west to clip the corners of the Dakotas and then the flag moves south into Iowa. There are 3 riders in IA, I think from Ottumwa all the way west to the Nebraska border. Then south into Kansas, Again multiple riders to cover that state. Then south west to New Mexico. That ends leg 3. Link 14 takes over from there to cover th4e really big Rocky Mountain states. I'll study the map some and come up with a detailed plan as I here from the individual riders.
Wake up every body! We're on the road again soon. *^$@#%^&( winter is almost gone and it's time to ride!
End quote.

I think it might be a good idea to include Manitoba in Leg 3 somehow.

Manitoba, eh. You ready for a long ride up north? It's freakin' cold up there! I think there was a rider up there in Winnipeg, but I haven't heard anything from him for a very long time. Also, bekz is in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He's been silent too.
What the heck, let's go fishing in Canada.

Just let me know when you guys are making that next move. Hopefully I'll have the tires on my bike and I'll strip the parts off my other Kz to make this bike work or if not I can borrow a set of carbs for my bike to make that trip. I could see riding at least in to Wisconsin if not Minneapolis. I have the weekend so if someone comes Friday, or Saturday, I could ride up and stay over night and come back next day. I hope I get my bike by then; if not I can ride my blue Rex even if the other bike isn't done yet.

I PM'd Lou to meet me in Kenosha this Sunday. He declined as he is fighting a cold and flood waters at his and his dads' house. If you can pick up the flag from him and bring it up to the Brat Stop on hiway 50 at I-94 just over the state line we can do a transfer.

I could do more than that. I could ride with you up to the drop off for next spot if you like. For sure I can meet you in Kenosha Sunday. 708-254-JONZ text me with the details. Loudhvx, I can pick up and drop off. Just say the word, I'm in.

Good deal. We'll meet here:
www.vinmoto.org/gallery/d/96377-1/Rumble+at+the+Brat.pdf
There should be a good crowd of old bikes there. Google ChiVinMoto or MilVinMoto to check out the groups. This is a Google group of vintage bike enthusiasts. Chapters are in about 8 cities, mostly in the mid-west but there is one in NYC and one in Portland OR. I lurk a lot on the group, seldom post and this will be my first attendance at a meet. Should be fun. Any one is welcome to join in. The address is 12304 75th Ave. Kenosha, WI. 75th Ave. is Hiway 50, exit 344 off of I-94 between Milwaukee and Chicago. A mile or so north of the state line. Get off the interstate and go west a block or two. The Brat Stop is on the north side of Hwy 50. The weather forecast looks favorable. I should arrive between 10 and 10:30. I'm riding a '91 Kawasaki Voyager, full dress tourer. Metallic Canyon Silver, looks like lavender. See ya'll there.

I'll be riding up lakeside and cutting west on 50. No point in riding if I have to slab it and miss all the scenery along the way. ;) I will try to find a few guys this way to ride up if I can.

Still uploading for another little bit so if it doesn't work try try again. This is just the first video of three. It takes fairly long to upload. Hope you enjoy.

A little out of order perhaps but the longer videos take forever. When they upload I will chronicle them in correct order.
From Montrose we headed towards Lower Wacker Drive and then on to the trip back.

Well, wife x'd out the downloading on youtube to open her page and I guess I will download the other video clip tomorrow or something. Takes forever to upload lengthy video. But at least you guys get the idea of what Chicago looks like from our little ride on LSD and Wacker Down Under.

Hi guys, Just a quick check in...

I was up for most of 48hours. Never been so cold.
Got some sleep last night, but now am off to work.

I'll be around Sunday morning to handoff to Saxjonz.
I'll text him my number.

My basement still needs a mopping, but my Dad's house is still surrounded by the Des Plaines River.

These photos were taken by my sister from my Dad's front porch, while it was still relatively shallow. You can see the river off in the background. That's me working the hose. By midnight I couldn't walk out the driveway with those boots. :)
