Could someone post a current who to who so I can get the map to match better? I thought I saw a couple of names that aren't on the official map, so probably need to add them to that too. Thanks!

Hey All,

I was contacted by Mark (1122), and hope to participate in the ride this summer. I am not 100% certain where I will be then, but it seems very likely I will be in Niagara, so while perhaps I may not be able to take up an entire leg myself, I would love to at least join in and go for a cruise with some other members. I know Teknine from living in St. Catharines, and could probly just join up there.

I'd like to put a few faces to some of the names on this site, especially folks I know live relatively close by. Also, hope to make it to the parts swap in Paris this summer. I have a bit of a shopping list, so that could be a good place to start.

Thanks for the update! Looks like my map is pretty spot on for the leg#2 part. You might want to add Toad in the Chatham-Kent area as he will be the re-entry point to the States to Renthorin & Street Fighter LTD in Michigan.

Waiting for the word to meet TOAD . Hopefully on the US side of the border .. I dont think the border patrol will approve of my Turbo without a muffler crossing into The Great White North. They check bikes for non compliant pipes at the border and turn you back. Looking forward to this event

It looks like I'm out of work as of right now. I've been thinking of going riding more often this summer anyway, soooooo......a relay fits right in.
Is there anyone carrying for SK as of now ??
I live in Calgary and COULD do a border (Walsh, AB on the east side)-to-border (Lake Louise, AB on the west side) if necessary....or if the weather cooperates, I might go all the way to Golden, BC.
The possibilities are endless....

H2rick, I will be in Southern BC(highway 3) so Golden is a bit far North. If you could go south to Pincher Creek I could take it from there. If you wanted to go towards Golden you could head toward Radium Hotsprings, highway 93) instead and I could meet you somewhere between Radium and Banff. The weather might be a factor which way we have to go.
Tim, Where are you living? Regina? That could be a deciding factor where we all meet up for a hand off.

Tony:
Whatever works for you will probably work okay for me.
It'd be nice to have someone carry it up to Calgary from the Hat....or even have that leg divided into two.....border to Brooks and then Brooks to Calgary.
Regardless, I can probably do the whole border to border thing if I don't find a decent job. It just may take two days rather than one. My 650 is certainly capable of a single day ride for that distance...but my bod says I'd probably need an overnight at home in Calgary in the middle of the ride.

Tony, I live in Saskatoon but at the moment my bikes are in Regina. Still not sure of the job situation for the summer but if I had time I could probably run from the Hat east and maybe the next day out to Moosomin or Brandon or whatever would work for Rainer

So does anyone know who I'm supposed to be meeting, or where, or when? The last I saw was late November as the rough time to be coming through the Rockies... late November's a crazy time to be riding almost anywhere other than Victoria in Canada.

Mark1122 I would like to sign on for a segment of the ride. Do you know the approximate dates of the ride passing through Burlington so I can make plans to join in. I would love to do some of this ride now that my 900 is finally done and to meet some of the guys!

hey Kawboy, I am not mark obviously but as far as I know it was supposed to be in our neck of the continent sometime in June, but I think it is taking longer to move through leg 1 than people were expecting, so maybe even later.
