Wow Les, that bike is awesome. I'd keep the paint, it's killer.

What did you do to the rear sprocket hub? I'm looking at doing that too.

How far away from the tire is your chain now, and what size chain are you using?

You did tell me to keep the questions coming

I took a 1/4" off the surface where the sprocket mounts, Chain is a little close for my liking but I'll grind a little off the tire for added clearance. Chain is 530 non o-ring dragrace chain but going to 520 when finished.

For anyone perhaps unaware, changing from 530 to 520 will gain 1/16" additional clearance between the chain and tire.

3/8 - 2/8 = 1/8 รท 2 = 1/16

A non-o'ring chain, where feasible, may be slightly narrower in either size.

Good Fortune! :)

Took it outside to get some pics and an overall view of its stance. May end up lowering it some more to get what I want but it isn't too bad right now. That rear fender has got to go and I don't think a different light is going to hurt either.

Ever have one of those days where nothing goes right? Well today wasn't it! I've been experimenting with the rear brake setup and believe I nailed it. Feels good sitting on the bike and completely pushed down it missus the header by about a 1/2". Action is smooth and consistant and appearance is clean.

Looks good. Don't forget to perform the "Oh shit! Super stomp brake test." The lever looks plenty strong, but the bent actuation rod might buckle in an emergency stop. I killed my first effort at a shift lever with a big ole size 12 downshift. It had a similarly bent rod to clear the kickstand.
