Polished parts ID help was created by scott s
There's a local Mom & Pop motorcycle/scooter shop I go to, mostly to raid the junkyard or order parts, and they have some polished stuff hanging on the wall. It's been there for a long time and I offered to post it up online and see if I could help them get rid of it.

Problem is, no one seems to remember what it's for. They seem to think it's all Kawasaki stuff. The two clutch covers on the bottom look an awful lot like my CB500/550 covers, but these are stamped "350cc" and have a sight hole for the oil.

The other stuff is mostly stamped Kawasaki...but what model? There are some alternator covers (?), a chain guard, what appears to be a clutch/sprocket cover and a brake caliper holder looking thing.

Can any of you guys ID these parts? I may be able to get a deal on them for you.

The sprocket cover, gen cover with three holes, and the far left clutch cover look to be KZ650B items. Ask em what they want for those three.

If by far left clutch cover, you mean the one on the left, bottom row, it's the same as the other cover and they both have "350cc" on them. The one you pointed out is missing the sight glass, but that's replaceable.

The other stuff looks like KZ650 stuff?

Unless 350cc is the oil capacity? That's not nearly enough oil, though, is it?

And what are the covers under the chain guard?

They don't say 350cc, they say 3500cc, referring to the amount of oil you put in.

Everything there is KZ650 stuff except for the other clutch covers, don't know what they are. Honda? Not sure on teh covers under the chain guard, looks like points covers though, could identify with closer pic.

That's a cell phone pic the owner sent me. I'll be going back up there tomorrow and will try to snap better pics.

To clarify: Bottom row, left to right... big clutch cover with dipstick and sight glass, then smaller clutch(?) cover, big cover, then two more covers (the far right one obviously says Kawasaki).
Are you saying the two big covers are Kawi also? What are the three smaller covers on the bottom row?

The far left clutch cover and the one that is just like it, like I said, are for a early KZ650.

Thanks T_Dub. I'll snap some more pics tommorrow and get an asking price for you.

What might the other covers on the bottom row be? Alternator covers? Are the two unmarked ones Kawi also?

They look like clutch covers to me, could be wrong. They kind of look like Z1 generator covers too. See if theres a part number inside the casting.

The sprocket covers were marked "KZ550, KZ650". Still don't know what the bracket thing or other cover are.

I'm 99% sure that the two large covers are clutch covers for a KZ650. Any idea on the smaller cover?

There are two of the one on the left, only one with the "Kawasaki" name.

Backside of the one stamped Kawasaki.
