82 cbx? Clean bike, but I love a naked CBX.

When I purchased my KZ900, I picked it up from the PO's uncle. He had a few assorted assembled bikes and projects. One of them was a CBX. Can't remember what year he said it was. But it was a beauty. Asked me if I ever heard what a 6 to 1 sounded like. Said, "No", so he fired it up for me. Told me it sounded like a Ferrari and I had to agree. Nice! The only thing I didn't like about the bike was he had the headers wrapped up to the collector.

So Jeffasaki, the CBX ain't in your signature...is this arecent acquisition?

Nice bike always wanted one,always wanted a 79 but im starting to really like having a fairing and the bags.
Still like my 78 Kawasaki more though

I recently read a cycle canada mag from 82 or 83 where they compared the kz1100 shaft to the cbx...They spent some money on aftermarket fairing and bags for the kz to make it more comparable to the cbx and compared them as "sport touring" bikes. The kz stomped the cbx enging wise, no contest, but the cbx I guess won over the hearts of the testers because of the sound and feeling that the cbx had.

Thanks to whoever put the pic up for me
I like the lower part of the fairing
The wind blows over the motor and warms up my old knee caps on a chilly morning
I know they sound pretty cool with the 6 into 1
with the stock pipes it sounds kinda like a porshe Probably just leave it the way it is
For now but who knows?

after riding the CBX and the Z1R
I may just detune the Z1R to a more streetable bike
Racebike on the street = some thing I had to try
It was FUN!!!!!
