Nice bike! Not sure I understand the concept. But it's nice! Is it a kind of dirt bike/street bike?
We used to call them enduros way back when. And if trail riding is part of the plan, will those tires work?

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Thanks. It's considered a dual sport like a big Kawasaki KLR650. Guys actually put dirt bike tires on them and think they have a dirt bike. It's the same idea as the BMW R1200GS but I think better looking and more comfortable and much less $$ spent for dealer maintenence. It's a 1200cc twin but got the unique firing order where they fire both pistons 90 degrees apart instead of the usual 180 degrees, then they have a balancer to balance it out. Feels and sounds like a big thumper when running but really gets going. Not like a ZX10 or anything, but plenty of power.Proxy wrote: I'd walk 15 miles for a Z2 also! In a heartbeat! That is an interesting looking bike Ron. Is it considered a Supermotard? Nice!

I never rode one til I picked it up Saturday. I've never had a twin before and it's a little different. I like it quite a bit so far. I saw it announced for the USA Sept 1 last year and saw all the features I like, shaft drive, centerstand, nice place to tie on luggage, big gas capacity, spoke wheels, decent shaped seat unlike all the rest of modern bikes, nice long 26,000 mile major valve checks. List is long and I liked the bike right away and ordered Sept 8. Some of the tests were tainted towards BMW in the European tests, but I think Yamaha will always be a better choice than BMW for a motorcycle as I had a BMW once and it was a great motorcycle to have "had" and not "have" ever again.JR wrote: Ver nice bike. Cycle Canada gave it a very good review. You mentioned a long wait for it. Did you buy it based on reviews or did you get a test ride first ?
