reconditioning outer cylinders

i am trying to make the outer cylinders look newer. my kz1000 is just about thirty years old and looks like it. how can i make the jugs look better? i have polished the covers but other parts dont want to clean up.

Try some Purple Power this stuff works great (spray on-hose off)

I had a polishing/Deburring shop blast my engine parts......I can't tell you exactly what they did because they refused to tell me. I know Larry Cavanaugh gets the same kind of finish from soda blasting, so you might want to try there. Good luck!
