Hey Rob,

Got the key today that you made for me...it works perfectly! Thanks so much...I was stuck with only a very poor copy that hardly worked as my only key. Awesome work!

i had to have a locksmith cut me a new key this past weekend by code since the original key i was using was all fucked up by the last owner and it couldnt even be put in the clamp to be manually cut. it looked like they beat the damn thing up with a chisel. it costed me 20 bucks to have it done.

Wow, that's a cool idea. I'll definitely have to try that sometime.

I've had a couple of basket case bikes that came with no keys.
Took the tumbler apart and ebay searched the whatever numbers I found.
I've found keys for everything I looked for. Last one as an 81 yam xs850.
6.00 to my door, FWIW, you might try that if you know the key #
I read somewhere they only made so many different combo's

oh the fun continues.....the first three locksmiths that I called, they dont do motorcycle keys, the fourth one looked up the numbers on the bottom of the lock for me over the phone and said it could be one of three different cuts, and he wasn't sure if the key it listed would even work on that old of a motorcycle. the number he looked up was Z5353. He said to bring in the lock and they could maybe figure out which key went to it.

In the Z series keys, the Program we have only has two options, Old & New.
Can't remember the cut off year off hand, but for the KZ's it will fall into the Old series.
I can look up the code # Monday or Tuesday, and confirm the cuts.
I will PM you information then.
